Along with dominating the movie industry, Marvel is also on its way to conquer the NFT sector as they’re back with a ‘Werewolf by Night #32’ comic NFT set to be dropped on the VeVe platform on April 4th, 8 am PT.
The announcement reads “The first appearance of Moon Knight, the Fist of Khonshu. In the light of the moon, the Werewolf battles a mysterious stalker known as Moon Knight. But how did Moon Knight come to possess his silver weaponry? For three nights in a row, it’s Jack Russell vs. Moon Knight!”
There are five cover variants and 30,000 editions in total of the Werewolf by Night #32 comic, with each priced at $6.99. The comic was originally published in 1975.
Ario Anindito is the creator behind the VeVe Exclusive Rare & Ultra Rare covers for this drop.
The Classic cover is of a common rarity with 21,000 editions of it available for purchase. The Vintage Variant cover is of an uncommon rarity with only 5000 of them available in the release.
The Hero Variant(2350 editions), Vibranium Variant(1050 editions), True Believer Variant(600 editions) covers sports ‘Rare’, ‘Ultra Rare’, and ‘Secret Rare’ rarities respectively.
All of the collectibles will be available in the blind box format where the buyer has no idea what NFT they have or what rarity they have until they open the box.
In addition to the standard VeVe 2.5% secondary market fee, Marvel NFT sales in the secondary market will be subject to a 6% licensor fee.
During peak traffic periods, like at times when an NFT drop happens, the users will only get to know about the digital comic rarity after it is delivered to their collection. This may take about 30–120 minutes.
Last month just saw three comics NFT drops from Marvel back to back on the VeVe platform. The first drop was of Amazing Spider-Man #86, then the Deadpool #1 NFT and the last drop was of the Amazing Spider-Girl comic.
