The Decentralized blockchain-based digital platform TRON has announced its plans to explore investment opportunities, aiming to introduce its blockchain ecosystem in Suriname.
Delegates from the TRON network approached President Chandrikapersad Santokhi on April 28, to collaborate on promoting blockchain technology in the country.
TRON is one of the leading blockchain platforms with over 90 million users and hosts the largest USDT stablecoin circulation with nearly $42 billion. Reportedly, DNA members Wang Chuanrui, Asiskumar Gajadien, and Latin America General Manager Zyanya Bejarano joined the TRON delegation.
President Santokhi has assigned the Ministry of Foreign affairs, International Cooperation (BIBIS), and International Business the responsibility of developing structures for cooperation with TRON.
Consequently, the Surinamese government will collaborate with the TRON network on blockchain technology and potential use cases in Suriname.
The TRON-powered mission will proceed throughout the Caricom region to raise awareness of disruptive blockchain technology and explore investment possibilities.
Parliament Member Asiskumar Gajadien expressed his opinions on rapidly developing blockchain technology saying – “Blockchain is a decentralized technology for effectively tracking transactional information in a way that makes it impossible to modify, hack, or tamper with the system. As technology changes, we as a country should not sleep.”
As the delegation departed Suriname on April 29, the Ministry of BIBIS will be maintaining the collaborative efforts. TRON has been actively working to expand its reach globally by constantly bringing new offerings.
In an open letter on Twitter last month, TRON founder H.E. Justin Sun announced the launch of USDD, a decentralized USD stablecoin. The TRON DAO has collaborated with other blockchain industries to launch USDD. Now, TRON is committed to working with Suriname to establish a productive strategic partnership.
