Major League Baseball Partners With Sorare to Launch Online Game

A professional baseball, Major League Baseball locked a partnership deal with NFT platform Sorare to launch its online game.

As per the report, the baseball game will create an opportunity for fans to buy and sell NFTs of their favorite players in Ethereum (ETH) by creating fantasy teams.

Non-fungible tokens are the digital assets on the blockchain in the form of any digital file such as images, video, GIFs, or others. Sports NFTs allow die-hard fans of the game to collect their favorite player’s NFT.

After seeing the great emergence of NFTs, many major leagues such as the National Basketball Association (NBA), Argentine Football Association took a dive into this new space.

Recently,  1-of-1 Topps Timeless Series NFT featured the baseball card of 1952 New York Yankees slugger Mickey Mantle sold for 175 ETH on the leading marketplace, OpenSea.

The boom in the sports NFT trend soared in the last few months. Every sports game is opting for NFTs as a suitable option to interact with their fans. NFT cards are becoming a prominent segment of these sports.
