The world’s first direct-to-consumer (DTC) NFT marketplace for wine and spirits, BlockBar has teamed with well-known whisky brand Monkey Shoulder for an exclusive limited-edition drop for Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) and BlockBar NFT holders.
The first half of the announcement states that BAYC NFT holders are invited to cast ballots beginning April 25th.
The drop offers a limited run of 100 Monkey Shoulder bottles with the NFT of each of the 10 BAYC members on the cover. The bottles can be sold on BlockBar.com by the 10 BAYC NFT owners who will be announced on May 4th.
Next up the announcement also specifies that BlockBar’s own Bored Ape NFT will be featured on 1,500 Monkey Shoulder May Scotch Whisky bottles. While BAYC NFT holders can get their first NFTs “on the house”, BlockBar NFT holders will receive a 50% discount on any quantity of bottles.
This will happen on the next day after declaring the winners for BAYC x Monkey Shoulder i.e. 5th of May. The rest of the collection will be available for public trading on May 12th for 0.2 ETH, which will grant holders access to BlockBar events and unique items. BlockBar will also organize a physical house event in Miami for all NFT owners from this drop.
The BlockBar and Monkey Shoulder collaboration seems to bring the BAYC community into a posh cocktail bar. Talking about cocktails, South Africa’s Strauss and Co.partnered with the continent’s five leading wine producers to offer fine wine NFTs.
