Dropped!! Bitstamp declines its idea of charging fees over inactive users after a massive downpour from the community.
Last week, the crypto exchange Bitstamp said it was a “hard decision” to charge fees over inactive users. The decision was that if 12 months passed without users making any trades, deposits, or withdrawals, then the exchange intended to impose a 10-euro monthly tax on non-US clients with balances of less than 200 euros.
However, after the recent turn of events, Bitstamp revokes its decision of charging fees. Bitstamp’s CEO JB Graftieaux, recently commented, “Listening to our customers is part of our service DNA”.This acknowledgement was a result of widespread criticism for the new policy all over social media platforms.
