The BetDEX Exchange will officially debut on Solana mainnet on November 17 in conjunction with the 2022 FIFA World Cup, according to BetDEX Labs.
According to the announcement, “As part of the launch, BetDEX Exchange will not be charging any fees for wagers placed on World Cup matches.”
The Monaco Protocol is the foundation of the BetDEX exchange. The platform presently accepts bets from South America, Africa, Asia, and Europe.
BetDEX is also the first fully-licensed sports betting exchange built on a blockchain and regulated in the Isle of Man under the Online Gambling Regulation Act. The exchange will be accepting real-money wagers on soccer.
In addition to soccer, the BetDEX Exchange is anticipated to start taking bets on tennis and cricket in 2023. The BetDEX Exchange has taken bets from more than 12,000 early access users since the beginning of its open beta test in early October.
Varun Sudhakar, CEO and Co-Founder of BetDEX, stated, “As the world’s first fully licensed web3 sports betting exchange, we’re looking forward to onboarding members into a booming space. Launching just ahead of the world’s premier sporting event is an exciting moment as our community can wager on matches throughout the duration of the World Cup and beyond.”
