The Graph, a system that helps organize and access data on blockchains, is collaborating with Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP). This collaboration will let The Graph’s token (GRT) work across three different blockchains, namely Arbitrum, Base, and Solana.
The Graph is using Chainlink’s CCIP to create safe connections that will allow its GRT token to move between these three blockchains. It will also make these different blockchains work better together. Its first step is building the system to support these transfers, like setting up bridges between different islands.
Right now, this project does not include features like using GRT for staking or paying fees on Layer 2 networks. However, this setup could make those features possible later. In the future, one might be able to stake GRT or use it for payments across different blockchains, making GRT more useful in decentralized finance (DeFi) and Web3, which are systems for building apps and services without central control.
The firm is also bringing its GRT token presence to Solana, a fast-growing blockchain, to work more closely with its community and its users. By using Chainlink’s CCIP, the firm is making it easier to move the GRT token between Solana and other blockchains like Arbitrum and Base.
This collaboration highlights the firm’s goal of creating a workable and open system where its GRT token can be used across many networks. This initiative will encourage new ideas and stronger links in the decentralized world.
