Ahead of the Monday opening, the crypto market is seeing a sharp drop as Bitcoin falls from the daily high of $106,847 to as low as $102,203 today. Following Bitcoin, various altcoins have caught up in a drastic downtrend, with Ethereum falling over 3.85% and XRP seeing 3.2% drop in the past 24 hours.
While the weekly opening tends to bring increased volatility into the market, the crypto market cap has decreased 2.10% and lost over $67 billion today.
Bitcoin is currently trading at $102,583—down 1.21% in the past 24 hours, while its 24 hour trading volume has surged nearly 90% to $65.72 billion.

Ethereum (ETH) has declined 4.42% today and fell below $2,400 while Solana (SOL) is down 6.15% from its daily high. Other altcoins–including DOGE, ADA, TRX, and SUI—have also seen a drop of nearly 5% in the past 24 hours.
Among top losers, BRETT is leading with a decline of 12%, followed by FORM’s 10% and FARTCOIN’s 8% dip. None of the major crypto assets have posted any notable gain but the Gold-backed stablecoins—PAXG and XAUt—and Monero (XMR) have gained merely 1% today.
