It Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw Unveils Indian Ai Server 'Adipoli'

India’s Information Technology (IT) minister Ashwini Vaishnaw introduced a new AI server called Adipoli, created by an Indian company, VVDN Technologies. This server is special because it was entirely designed in India and is packed with powerful technology, including 8 GPUs, which help it handle complex AI tasks.

The minister said this shows India is getting stronger in building advanced electronics and AI technology. In simple terms, Adipoli is a high-tech, Indian-made computer built for AI, proving India’s growing tech skills.

Ashwini Vaishnaw, the IT Minister, commended VVDN Technologies for creating the AI server Adipoli. He said its launch is a big achievement for the “Make in India” initiative, which is a government program to encourage companies to design and build products in India. In simple terms, he’s proud that an Indian company made this advanced technology, as it supports the goal of boosting India’s manufacturing and innovation.

Ashwini Vaishnaw stated that the electronic products made in India are getting better in quality and can now compete with products from other countries. He further highlighted that the global markets are taking note of India’s outstanding protection of intellectual property rights. This makes international investors trust India more and encourages Indian companies to create new and innovative products.

As per the reports, he said that, “Over a period of time, India has developed strong capabilities in electronics design. These capabilities now include products related to the automobile sector, power electronics, signaling, and security systems. Designing and manufacturing such products is increasingly happening within India, which is a significant achievement under the prime minister’s ‘Make in India’ program.”

The IT Minister, Ashwini Vaishnaw, highlighted that a big change in the electronics industry is that manufacturing companies in India now have large teams focused on designing products.

The change means these companies aren’t just making things but are also creating and planning new products from scratch. In simple terms, Indian factories are now home to big groups of designers who help invent and develop new electronics, making India more innovative.

He said, “We are here in a facility that has a design team as big as 5,000 engineers. These young engineers are designing some of the most complex products, embedded with AI, moving far beyond legacy systems.”

IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw called the development of India’s electronics industry a “big leap,” meaning a major step forward. He said India has a special advantage because it has many talented people who are excellent at designing electronics, something many other countries don’t have. This design talent gives India a big edge in creating new products.
