Parents Of Openai Whistleblower Claim Cops Contaminated Crime Scene

The parents of deceased OpenAI whistleblower Suchir Balaji, posted fresh evidence on X (formerly Twitter) wherein they have accused officers of San Francisco Police Department (SFPD) of contaminating the crime scene by not wearing gloves as first responders.

Balaji’s mother Poornima Rao uploaded a video on X showing SFPD officers entering the apartment of Suchir Balaji on November 26 last year as first responders to the crime scene. The footage shows the officers not wearing gloves while assessing the apartment, thereby prompting Balaji’s family to allege potential tampering and contaminating the crime scene. Parents have also claimed that police failed to collect key forensic evidence like fingerprints, DNA and footprints from Suchir’s apartment.

26-year-old Suchir, a former researcher with OpenAI, was found dead at his apartment in San Francisco last year under mysterious circumstances. While the local police had shut the case file citing suicide by Suchir, his parents have alleged gross negligence on behalf of police and accused them of a massive cover-up.

Balaji had turned a whistleblower against OpenAI on the issue of the artificial intelligence organization flouting copyright laws by lifting content of original artists, content creators and journalists.

Balaji’s mother, Poornima, has made another explosive allegation on X, stating that the CCTV cameras installed at the elevator connecting to Balaji’s apartment in the building, was allegedly tampered with.

Balaji’s parents have raised concern whether this was intentional, wondering if this was paid hit or a hate crime. The parents also mentioned the violation of constitutional rights by tagging Pamela Jo Bondi, an American attorney and lobbyist, and Harmeet Kaur Dhillon, an American lawyer and Republican Party official.

The fight for justice intensifies as Balaji’s parents demand answers. Will the truth behind this chilling case finally be uncovered?
