Ark Invest founder Cathie Wood will be delivering a keynote lecture during the launch of Central American nation El Salvador’s new artificial intelligence (AI) public education program for college students.
The AI education program, which will be officially launched by El Salvador President Nayib Bukele, is aimed at providing university students and professionals with courses related to AI. Woods’ lecture will be delivered at the City Welfare and Opportunity Center (CUBO) in El Salvador.
Additionally, the program focuses on Bitcoin and the Lightning Network specifically for developers. As per the reports, industry experts will also play a major role in providing AI education to the general public.
“This isn’t just any program; it’s a seismic happening for the nation’s brightest young minds to learn to absolutely own and command the emerging AI vibes as they embrace exponentials and this new tech-driven future,” read an official statement from the Bitcoin Office of El Salvador.
El Salvador has taken significant steps toward becoming a regional hub for innovation, including integrating Bitcoin classes into public education, utilizing geothermal energy for Bitcoin mining, and implementing pro-cryptocurrency and AI policies.
In May 2024, Wood also met with Nayib Bukele, the president of El Salvador, to discuss the future of digital assets and AI policy in Central America.
In September, Bukele also met with Elon Musk to discuss artificial intelligence and cryptocurrencies. The bond is expected to lead into collaboration between Musk and the government of El Salvador.
