The American tech company Apple is gearing up to cater its vast Indian iPhone user base with new AI features. The company’s AI-powered suite known as Apple Intelligence has decided to upgrade its Artificial Intelligence (AI) feature iOS 18.4 beta to the Indian English version.
The company has highlighted that the updated feature, iOS 18.4 beta, is likely to be available in India from April. This move is very important for Indian users, as the users will get more localized AI responses as these AI tools will be available to millions of iPhone users in the country.
As reported by News18, Apple’s CEO Tim Cook said that the company aims to focus on the Indian market to boost iPhone sales in India. India has the second-largest smartphone market in the world and the third-largest for PCs and tablets.
He further said that “we have great results in several emerging markets, and as you know from past calls, particularly keen on India. India set a December-quarter record during the quarter, and we’re opening more stores there.
Cook also announced that they’re going to open four new stores there. The iPhone was the top-selling model in India for the quarter, and it’s the second-largest smartphone market in the world and the third-largest for PCs and tablets, so there’s a huge market, and they have a very modest share in these markets.
“I think there’s lots of upside there, and that’s just one of the emerging markets.”
The company has already announced its plans with Apple Intelligence features to expand to more countries this year.
Tim Cook said that “Apple Intelligence will expand to more platforms and languages, like Chinese, English (India), English (Singapore), French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish, and Vietnamese in 2025.”However, the company has stated that its new updated AI feature, the iOS 18.4 beta, will be available to iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 16 series users in the next few weeks.
