Trump Warns China’s Deepseek Is Wake-Up Call For America

47th US President Donald Trump warns Silicon Valley that the release of DeepSeek AI from a Chinese company should be a wake-up call for industries.

Deepseek’s new model launch was overshadowed by Trump’s inauguration, but with its low pricing model, it was able to disrupt the whole financial market as it became the top app on the Apple Store, beating OpenAI.

The low pricing model acted as a catalyst for market participants to sell off Nvidia shares as it saw a 17% drop, leading to a $600 billion loss in market valuation.

In his speech, Trump said that we need to be laser-focused because we have the greatest scientists in the world. He revealed that even Chinese leadership says that America has great people in Seattle who can build in AI.

Trump continued that “we always had the ideas; we were always first, so I would say that’s a positive development, instead of spending billions of dollars, you’ll spend less, and you’ll come up with hopefully the same solution.”
