The tech giant, Microsoft, is gladly encouraging its users to upgrade to Windows 11 by adding innovative features to it, as Windows 10 is nearing the end of its support lifecycle.
As reported by The Indian Express, recently the company has confirmed one of its features an AI-powered, decorated Windows Search by adding new AI features to its Windows 11.
Yusuf Mehdi, the vice president and consumer chief marketing officer at Microsoft said in a press release, “You no longer need to remember file names and document locations, nor even specific names of words. Windows will better understand your intent and match the right document, image, file, or email. AI-powered search makes it dramatically easier to find virtually anything.”
The Search experience of the new Windows on Windows 11 shares will have similarities with Google’s “Search with Google Lens,” which will allow its users to find products online using images.
This feature will also enable its users to locate images, documents, videos, and more using simple text-based queries. It allows its users to search both local storage and OneDrive to locate what the user is looking for.
However, this cutting-edge functionality will be exclusive to only Copilot + Branded PCs equipped with Qualcomm, Intel, or AMD processors with dedicated neural processing units (NPUs).
The feature will be introduced to the Windows Insider community first before being made available to the general public.
